Social Venture NetworkSocial Venture Network
American Reading Company is a proud member of the Social Venture Network (SVN). Founded in 1987 by some of the nation's most visionary leaders in socially responsible entrepreneurship and investment, including the founders of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, SVN is a nonprofit network committed to building a just and sustainable world through business. SVN promotes new models and leadership for socially and environmentally sustainable business in the 21st century. The organization champions this effort through initiatives, information services and forums that strengthen our community and empower members to work together on behalf of our shared vision.


Multicultural Resource CenterMulticultural Resource Center
The Multicultural Resource Center founded in 1993, as a non-profit, educational organization and located in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia, works to reduce prejudice, discrimination, and inequity in the child-nurturing institutions of our nation and to foster the integration of multicultural competence into all aspects of our children's lives from infancy through young adulthood.


AMETEK The AMETEK Foundation
The AMETEK Foundation—the charitable arm of AMETEK Inc., a global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electric motors based in Paoli, Pennsylvania.—has long supported efforts to improve early childhood literacy in schools and libraries near its plants and facilities. The AMETEK Foundation and American Reading Company partnered together in 2001 to support early literacy for students in the Binghamton School District in New York. Through this partnership, the AMETEK Foundation has expanded its support to the Rochester school district in New York, the Panther Valley school district in Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania and the West Chicago school district in Illinois.


Multicultural Resource CenterSustainable Business Network
The Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia (SBN) is a network of local triple-bottom-line businesses with a shared focus on People, Planet and Profit. The network is comprised of local business people, professionals, social entrepreneurs, investors, not-for-profit leaders, and government representatives who are committed to building a more socially, environmentally, and financially sustainable local economy.


Children's Leteracy InitiativeChildren's Literacy Initiative
Children's Literacy Initiative (CLI) works to increase children's literacy skills and to foster a love of reading by providing professional development for teachers of pre-kindergarten through third grade students. CLI's Blueprint for Early Literacy® recognizes that all children need experience with books and structured support to develop oral language and vocabulary and to build background knowledge. American Reading Company and the Children's Literacy Initiative work together to develop compelling sponsorship opportunities for Companies-- local, regional, national and international-- that are interested in increasing literacy skills and fostering a lifelong love of reading for young people.
