Ancient Civilizations
This is a social studies theme collection appropriate for middle school students. It can be valuable for after-school and summer school programs, as well as part of standard social studies classes. The collection covers the BCE period up to about 200 CE with an international focus (Ancient Egypt, Rome, Greece, Ancient China, India, Mayan Civilization, Mesopotamia).

Research/Publishing Pack
This collection of materials is designed to excite, engage, and
support students as they investigate their topics and begin to
collect and organize their information toward the goal of
demonstrating their learning in a significant way. It allows students
to draft, edit, and publish their research. The kit includes a range
of art materials, along with books for recording data, and materials
for publishing their individual illustrated books as a culminating
project of their research. We offer packs coordinated with specific
themes, as well as generic packs for use with any curriculum.

Teacher’s Reference Library
The Teacher’s Reference Library is a collection of 15 books chosen
to provide additional information for students as they conduct
in-depth research on their chosen topics. This library can also be
used for teacher read-alouds, reference, and follow-up discussions,
aimed at expanding students’ background information and
understanding of the theme.

Theme-Related Prize Kits
Theme-related prizes add excitement and motivation to increase
the amount of reading students complete during the project.
Students track their reading in 15-minute increments, earning
prizes and participating in celebrations as they reach program
